Birthday BonanZA at

one of the nicest restaurant that we had ever been to
nice ambience
with a piano which is played by ghost
cos the keyboard just moved on their own
nice waitress who will stick their body against the wall
just to make space for u to walk while u walk to toilet
polite server who will stop their serving when u stand up to go to the washroom

from where i was sitting i was able to glance down at the beautiful lightings along orchard
not that i m a great fan of such lightings
just thought it was nice to haven gotten such seats

food was comfortingly nice
had been there once zillion yrs ago
and the taste still remained
menu goes like this :
1) Horse'de'vuere
- an appetizer..grilled fish with crispy vege pilled on top
2) Cream of Mushroom
-the sort with real bits of grounded mushroon
not some stupid campbell kind
3) Piping hot bun
4) Salad
-well salad is salad. well..the greens are fresh?
5) Main course
-he had charcoal grilled sirloine steak ( tender and wonderfully flavoured ! )
i had abalone and salmon roe spagetti ( all i can say it has a deep and rich seafood flavour shiok!)
6) Dessert .
- choc cake with fruits cocktail sprinkled all over
- i decided to feed dark choc half of my cake not cos of the calories
but cos i know they are his love
7) Coffee tea or me?

the whole street of orchard is filled with baskers
from latin american singers
to robotic performers
to an uncle blowing harmonica aka partime ice-cream seller
more about this uncle
last yr i saw him in town sitting down selling tissue with handcast and legcast
then he was playing harmonica ( tunelessly ...maybe his tissue business flopped )
then he was spotted helping an uncle sell ice-cream
then he was playing harmonica again
oh yes...
he had a huge crowd before him
the only thing is they were all backfacing him
watching the robotics perfomers
haha
i paid one buck to get that pic with the female basker
mainly for her courage to smear that silver paint on her face
her pores might clog!!!

dis the season to be jolly lalalalalalala
ngee ann city christmas tree must have been reused upteen times
but it still look so beautiful
i esp like all the lights glittering behind me

why must he spoil the scenery with his smelly face ? hahaha
that's my baby for u
u see him smile u better buy 4-D
nonetheless...still picture perfecto !!

then it was off to watch happy feet
the supper duuuuuuuuper cute penguin movie
really enjoyed every single moment of it
esp the songs and the dance
dark choc actualli loved it too...

i have this enormous pimple looking thing on my hip
has bled profusely for the past 3 days
i refuse to go to the doc
cos i have had a bad experience at polyclinic
unless extreme poverty
pls avoid polyclinic at all cost
the docs there use their patients as punching bags
to thrash out their unhappiness about their meagre salary

my back is hurting
i suspect it is linked to my third finger
cos when i pull it
it hurts
it's amazing how come a backache can be linked to ankle finger to neck to am to thigh to calf
my decibals reached 200 when dad the healer did treatment for me

recently ..dunnoe why..i have no pics to post

happy birthday to zee !!!!

it had been a frenzy 2 days
mad rush to jp for grocery shopping
then barang barang journey cum rush home
then clumsily rushing against time in the kitchen
then made a whole mess out of my kitchen
then had to use my pretty nails to clean up all the mess
u know the harm detergent does to ur nails...haha
just to make his fav mango lassi and some vermicelii puddin

2nd day was a bit more orderly but 10 times more tedious
imagine i had to wash , cut, peel , chop water chestnuts
how TEDIOUS can this be u tell me
firstly it is covered with mud
u must double triple rinse
then u must cut the top and bottom off
then u must peel the uneven rough surface
and it din help that the freaking chestnut is so small
mixing the dough was hell
i had to keep stirring and stirring the mixture when the dough gets thicker and thicker under heat
i am not kidding to say that sweat really trickled down my forehead
and of course tha massive cleaning up to do plus all the dough stuck onthe pot
all these just to make the chestnut pudding top with coconut cream thai dessert
his favourite

it's too bad his birthday fell in the midst of exams ..and the due date of his IA report
the onli meeting we can afford was a brief 30 min for me to pass him the dessert

went IKEA today....with my mighty toyota
got a hopped on passenger at dover
and spent the next 4 hours cracking our heads for the cheapest bargain
you ai pi(nasal) you ai qi(nasal)

i simply love the hotdog bar at Ikea...
the whiff filled with bread fragrance is so homely
gives me a calm and relaxing feeling
plus the 'da ming ding ding' swedish meatballs...
juz the thought make me drool
tho i can onli imagine the taste as i've never tried it

it was my granny's birthday a couple of days ago..
as usual was held at my uncle's condo function room..
and order my aunt's bro buffet...
not tt it was nice...
but becos blood is thicker than water...
think my bro is the most handsome among all the male cousins...
haha...he has come out of his cacoon...
like sis like bro
nothing much to tok bout the gathering..
cos it was just eating and sitting down there watching tv..
and occasional small chats...
as usual , those with no hearts never turn up
filial piety is percieved by the child according to the parent's action
i believed u'll reap wat u sow
no one bother to buy their granny prezzie too..
i must be the onli ke kiang kia to buy...
but at least it makes granny smile...
i am proud of my family..
my bro..my sis..my mum and dad
filial? i dare not say
but we have fufilled the duty of taking care of them...
their phone and utitilities bill who pay? -my dad
their hospotal bill who pay?-my dad
their Starhub channel who pay? -my dad

but i feel blessed that we are still able to do so for them
my parents are blessed too...
cos they have taught their kid invaluable lessons

have been watching Hindi movies recetly...and watched this movie called 'bachban' or something
about filial piety
story goes like this
a veri loving old couple had four kids
they spent all their money on the kids nurturing them
when the dad retired
they decided to move in with their children
the children were appalled when they heard this
and came up with an ingenius idea to make their parents drop the idea
on the pretence that they were fighting which family to take the parents in
so as not to make the other families wait too long to share the 'bliss' of living with the old couple
they requested to seperate them
living in diff cities
torn apart they were
they decided to accept their childrens' 'kind' intention
without any choice
the eldest and second son took the parents home to their respective homes
and the old couple was treated with disrespect

in the end the couple moved out and somethings happened that made the children realises their mistake
yada yada yada
and all those melodramamama hindi movies

but this movie further remind me the responsibility we have towards our grand parents
our parents
think...
they feed us for 20 yrs
then we feed them for ....maybe...more than 20 yrs
there is truly no free lunch in this world...

disgusting behaviour on the mrt

was going to my granny's birthday dinner today from vivocity's shopping spree..when i witness a horrified incident
well not really that horrifying....but i was totally grossed by the upbringing of sporeans...the GenY somemore...
well..it was 6.30 pm....yes...the rush hour..and train was jam packed...u r tired..he is tired...she is tired...i am tired....that lady in 5 inch heels is tired....the man carrying a freaking heavy laptop is tired.....basically even the train driver is tired okay..
empty seats are akin to rare gems ..yes i totally understand this feeling
we constantly look arnd..eyeing for anyone packing the bags..preparing to leave...even the slightest movement of someone straightening his back will arouse our attention and bring our hopes up....
yes..i totally understand all these....
i was standing right in front of the entrance ...slugging against a railing handle
..where a slightly plump and middleaged women was standing in front of me...
she was standing rigt in front of the corner seats...her toe barely 2 inches from the seated commuter...yea..that's how close she was..
and wat a lucky soul she was that the commuter was alighting at redhill.."lucky bitch" i thot to myself
the commuter got up....swayed a little by the jerky braking of the train , before making her move off the train...all the while the plump lady was waiting politely and patiently for the commuter to fully exit from the seat...
suddenly..in a split second...with the speed of lightning...i saw a grumpy and annoying looking auntie settling into the seat.. the plump anutie just stared ..stunned....then pissed...then LAN LAN BO bian...
that annoying auntie must be the disciple of Huang fei Hong cos she perpetually flew to her seat... she was actualli standing in front of the forth seat..which means she will need to bypass 2 ppl standing next to her to get to the seat...where she will then have to intrude into the plump auntie position before claiming her throne..
her 'journey' caused so much commotion and rustling of the plastic bags that it was impossible to not to notice and to cast a disgusted glance over

okay...maybe she was really tired
okay...maybe she had a tough day
okay...maybe she has weak legs

but blame her Xialan face
it was impossible not to hate her

the courtesy campaign obviously din work very well

LATE HALLOWEEN ENTRY

it was last min...impromtu ...impulsive ....non regretable decision made
i finally got a tast of wat it feels like to play cosplay
we were sitting down ..listening to soothing love songs and watching 'ghosts' walking arnd us
we looked at each other....nodded our head...and off we were to find ourselves our costumes

DAMN FUN

the angel VS the vampiress, making up in the dark alley toiet was fun !!!
i never knew yanting's foundation can be so horribly white ...well at least it finally came to good use.....bought the fake blood for $2.60.....anybody wan any fatal kiss??? mUACKS

i always end up getting the vicious and dark role....why can't i be a sweet lil angel?
even i won be convinced of my image if i were to be an angel...haha
i'm meant for witches and vampiress..

it's diff to decide the genre of this pic....the vampiress smiling while the angel squeezing all her eyes nose mouth together ...?!?!?! but no matter how angelic yanting looks....this pic embodes evil in it...
